Job Summary
Lead and manage the automotive service department to achieve measurable objectives and profitability. Responsibilities include forecasting department goals, hiring/training/motivating staff, administering operating budgets, monitoring performance with reports and surveys, ensuring warranty and policy compliance, conducting department meetings, supervising technicians and payroll, maintaining high-quality repairs with minimal comebacks, staying current with equipment/tools, liaising with factory representatives, inputting pricing/maintenance data, addressing customer complaints per dealership guidelines, maintaining safety and professional appearance, and applying knowledge of computer/technology needs. Requires strong leadership, customer service, communication, and process-driven execution; proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership software (X-Time/Dealer FX, Dealertrack). The role is full-time at the Hammond, LA location with an in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License (Required)
- A successful record of accomplishment within the industry
- Leadership skills
- Excellent customer service skills (CSI / Customer Experience)
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work well in a process driven environment
- Microsoft office suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel)
- X-Time/Dealer FX
- Dealertrack
