Job Summary
Operate a TARTA bus along designated fixed routes, ensuring safe, timely transportation while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strict schedule adherence. Assist passengers throughout the journey and adhere to operational needs for split shifts or consistent schedules based on seniority. This role includes a one-year Registered Apprenticeship Program providing mentorship and hands-on experience to enhance safety and operational excellence. Applicants must hold a valid CDL with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsements, five years of licensed driving experience, and a DOT Medical Certification.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL permit with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsements
- At least 1-year DOT Medical Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Five (5) years of consecutive licensed driving experience
- No more than 2 points on your license in the past 3 years
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Background check
- DOT Drug Screen
- DOT Physical
- Ability to complete a drug test
- No marijuana use (recreational or medical)
