Job Summary
Collaborate with financial advisors to develop customized fixed income strategies and construct portfolios of individual bonds across municipal, corporate, and treasury products. Serve as a trusted resource by responding to inbound inquiries, delivering timely market intelligence, and conducting reviews of currently held portfolios to provide analysis and recommendations. Educate advisors on fixed income fundamentals, available technology platforms, and best practices while contributing to thought leadership efforts through market commentary, presentations, and strategy publications. Build and maintain relationships with advisors to assist in growing their client base and work independently within a retail trading desk environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 of financial services industry experience
- preferably in a fixed income related role
- FINRA Series 7
- FINRA Series 52
- FINRA Series 66
- ability to obtain within one year of hire
- Knowledge of a range of fixed income products
- corporate bonds
- municipal bonds
- Treasuries
- agencies
- mortgage-backed securities
- brokered CDs
- understanding of the global and domestic economic picture
- Advanced knowledge of the rate markets
- spread products
- especially Municipal and Corporate Bonds
- fixed income portfolio management
- Advanced concepts and regulations related to fixed income capital markets
- Knowledge of Wealth management/ brokerage industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
- The use of Bloomberg
- fixed income portfolio management tools
- Ability to articulate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to convey complex topics and investment ideas in a clear and understandable manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and position the fixed income products to include in client portfolios
- Ability to function on a retail trading desk, with distractions and interruptions, while still performing necessary duties
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Travel 5 % of the Time
Desired Qualifications
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources
- Other applicable licenses or certifications

- Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE)
- Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
