Job Summary
Production management of core Fixed Income Rates applications with direct L1/L2 production support, driving stability, efficiency and automation. Partners with Trading, Sales, Operations & Risk to operate stable platforms and meet business requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring, disaster recovery coordination, application production releases, gap analysis, incident/problem/change management, and mentoring junior analysts. The role also involves engineering initiatives to streamline processes, automate manual tasks, develop monitoring and tooling, and improve overall production stability and availability. Requires technical depth across UNIX environments, databases (Oracle, SQL Server), scripting (Python, Shell), and modern monitoring and analytics tools (ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, ELK/Splunk, Grafana/Prometheus/Tableau), plus exposure to Kubernetes/OpenShift and Site Reliability Engineering concepts. Strong collaboration, communication, and ability to operate at a global enterprise level are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an Application Support, Production Management, or related role
- Unix (AIX/ Linux) environment
- Databases - Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
- Scripting languages - Python, Shell
- ITRS Geneos, Appdynamics or alternate APM/Monitoring tools
- ELK/Splunk
- Kubernetes, OpenShift and container management
- Dashboard/reporting tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Tableau
- Knowledge/ experience of incident, Change and problem Management procedures
- Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in Fixed income business knowledge/understanding is preferred
- Experience in supporting Sales and Trading, Risk and Trade Management Platforms or similar systems
- Previous experience of Site Reliability Engineering concepts
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
