Job Summary
Strip, maintain, and repair customer pumps at the Townsville Service Centre and customer operations while adhering to zero-harm safety behaviours. Provide recommendations to enhance product performance and support mine shutdowns by attending customer sites when required. Implement the Weir Production System within the Rebuild Centre and assist with repairing products delivered to the Service Centre. Requires Cert III in Mechanical Engineering, experience leading fitters, and a High Risk Forklift ticket. Monday to Thursday 6am–2:30pm and Friday 5am–11am with overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- Cert III – Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning
- Experience in mechanical fitting in a workshop and onsite environments
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of fitters
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- High Risk Fork lift ticket
- Current Drivers License
