Job Summary
Fitter responsible for selecting and using appropriate equipment, planning piping layouts, marking pipes for cutting and welding, assembling and securing pipes, operating and handling power tools safely, maintaining housekeeping, and communicating safety, productivity, and quality progress to leadership. Requires blueprint reading, accurate measurement, weld circumference calculations, crane/rigger knowledge, and safe rigging practices; prefers 2-5 years of relevant experience. Required Qualifications
- Blueprint reading
- Knowledge of tape measure and standard measurements
- Ability to perform degree finding
- Ability to divide circumference of welds
- Knowledge of overhead cranes and hand signals
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices
- Must be able to adhere to standards and perform a quality job in a safe manner within an acceptable time.
