Job Summary

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company fleet, with a specific focus on hydraulic and high-pressure jetting systems used in drain and sewer cleaning operations. Diagnose technical issues using diagnostic tools to rectify faults in pumps, hoses, and control mechanisms, while performing preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to provide on-site repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and collaborate with the team to analyze recurring problems and implement preventive measures.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing
  • Class B Driving Licence
  • fully recognised industry qualifications (City & Guilds or Industry Equivalent)
  • Class C+E / HVG Class 2 Drivers Licence
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, hoses, and control mechanisms
  • Specialise in maintaining and troubleshooting high-pressure jetting systems used in drain and sewer cleaning operations
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure the optimal performance of hydraulic and jetting equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and high-pressure jetting system issues to ensure timely and effective repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on hydraulic systems to maximise reliability
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies involving hydraulic and jetting systems, providing on-site repairs to minimise downtime
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify technical issues related to high-pressure equipment
  • Collaborate with the wider team to analyse recurring problems and implement preventive measures
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry standards related to hydraulic systems and high-pressure jetting operations
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices
  • Implement and promote safe working practices among the team in accordance with legal requirements
