Job Summary
Fitters are essential for maintaining underground mining equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. Responsibilities include carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance, maintaining plant availability, reporting defects, completing scheduled maintenance, and providing input into root cause analysis. The role requires an Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification, at least 12 months of underground mining experience, and the ability to work rotating shifts. Relocation assistance is available.
Required Qualifications
- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Minimum 12-months experience working in an underground mine
- Ability to meet clean-shaven requirements in line with underground coal mining respiratory safety standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on mining or heavy earthmoving machinery
- Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon
