Job Summary
Perform high-quality fitting operations on gas turbine components, interpret and work based on shop work instructions and GE repair standards to achieve accurate and precise fitting, inspect components for unserviceable defects and perform correction, operate overhead crane and hydraulic jacking equipment per GE standards, perform weldment as needed, and adhere to EHS procedures to maintain a safe, quality-focused work environment. Collaborate with operators, supervisors, engineers, and staff; participate in GE Lean AW0 events; ensure safety and quality in daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum graduated from vocational high school with major of manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or other related disciplines
- Have at least two years working experience in fabrication (jacking process, crane usage, and welding process)
- Have experience with basic air tools and hydraulic jack equipment
- Possess overhead crane certification would be a plus
