Job Summary
The Fitter position at Peoples Natural Gas involves skilled operation and maintenance of natural gas piping systems and related facilities, including setting meters and curb boxes, repairing service lines and leaks, connecting/disconnecting meters, and using equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks. Responsibilities include construction and maintenance of gas distribution/transportation systems, ditch digging, and performing tasks under pipeline safety rules with a DOT drug screening requirement. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain a Class A CDL; prior pipeline experience is preferred.
