Fitness & Wellness Instructor (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Design personalized wellness journeys through private training, small-group instruction, and tailored fitness experiences for guests and members. Lead dynamic programming including yoga, strength training, functional fitness, mobility, and recovery classes while adapting instruction to varying abilities and goals. Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, deliver customized training plans, and educate participants on proper technique, injury prevention, and sustainable healthy living. Maintain immaculate studio environments, inspect equipment, and collaborate across departments to support the daily success of the wellness operation. Contribute fresh programming ideas and emerging trends to shape the resort's future wellness offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
- Experience providing personal training and leading group fitness or yoga classes
- Ability to teach multiple fitness and wellness modalities
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, movement mechanics, exercise physiology, and safe exercise modification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- An active role requiring frequent movement, demonstration of exercises, indoor and outdoor instruction, and lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Luxury hospitality, destination spa, private club, or wellness resort experience preferred
- Current yoga instructor certification, 200-hour training preferred
- Additional certifications such as Pilates, barre, meditation, breathwork, corrective exercise, mobility, senior fitness, aquatic fitness, indoor cycling, or nutrition coaching preferred
