Job Summary
Lead on-site group fitness classes for older adults in senior living communities, and provide private one-on-one and small group training sessions. Deliver safe, effective, and engaging workouts focused on functional movement, balance, and strength while adhering to approved programming and documentation. Build rapport with residents, staff, and community decision-makers; report attendance and client notes to the Fitness Program Manager; ensure safety and inclusivity, and modify activities to accommodate all fitness levels. Requires current nationally recognized fitness certification and CPR/AED, background check, and reliable transportation. Compensation is hourly and based on experience; mileage/travel time may be reimbursed.
Required Qualifications
- Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED certification (required)
- Experience in senior fitness, personal training, group fitness, or rehab-based exercise
- Strong interpersonal skills and an encouraging, client-centered approach
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled sessions
