Job Summary
Drive engagement among residents to increase group class participation and build a 1:1 and partner training client base. Collaborate with therapy team members to build trust with clinicians who refer patients to wellness, and educate residents, family members, and power-of-attorney contacts to increase program awareness. Travel to patient residences for house call sessions and expand into additional communities as your territory grows. This part-time position offers approximately 5-10 hours per week with a clear path to grow your caseload. You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or equivalent certification, possess current CPR certification, and meet physical demands including moderate to maximum patient assists and extended standing. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology
- Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
- Prior fitness training experience
- Willingness to obtain CPT certification
- Experience or strong interest in working with older adults in a proactive, wellness-focused setting
- Ability to travel between Senior Living Communities and patient residences as needed
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to perform CPR
- Fit to drive
- Ability to stoop, sit, bend, pull, climb, reach, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities
- Ability to perform moderate to maximum assists with patient transfers and bed mobility
- Ability to reposition a bed-bound patient independently
- Ability to exert 25–50 lbs. of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time)
- Ability to exert 10–25 lbs. of force frequently (up to 2/3 of the time)
- Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force constantly
- Ability to run, lift, and stretch
- Ability to perform prolonged periods of intense physical exertion including running, lifting, and stretching
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to use hands to feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to close vision
Desired Qualifications
