Job Summary
Provide fitness floor supervision and basic exercise instruction for members, guests, and medically integrated program participants. Screen health histories, coordinate medical clearances, and schedule fitness assessments and orientations. Deliver assessment results with exercise guidelines and program recommendations. Arrive as first responder to medical emergencies, utilizing AED and first aid supplies to complete incident reports. Promote ancillary services including personal training and wellness coaching. Perform facility rounds every 30-60 minutes to monitor pools, locker rooms, and equipment, reporting maintenance needs immediately. Maintain cleanliness of fitness areas and conduct opening/closing procedures as scheduled. May lead strength and conditioning group fitness classes with current NCCA accredited certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university in a health-related, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education major
- CPR/AED certification
- Ability to lift 45 pounds
- Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor
- Proficient computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior part time work experience or part time internship in the fitness industry
- Nationally recognized NCCA accredited certification
