Job Summary

The Fitness Specialist develops and delivers a diverse lineup of senior-focused fitness classes, plans weekly schedules, teaches safely, tracks class attendance, and creates personalized fitness plans for residents. Responsibilities include overseeing aquatic programming and pool maintenance as applicable, demonstrating equipment use, delivering health and wellness talks, coordinating one-on-one personal training sessions, keeping equipment in good condition, and emphasizing fall prevention. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and collaboration across departments, plus knowledge of senior wellness principles. A Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Recreation Management, or related field is preferred, along with a nationally accredited group fitness or personal training certification and First Aid, AED, and CPR certification.
