Job Summary
Lead group exercise and personal training for older adults by driving engagement through evidence-based fitness programming, including one-on-one sessions and house calls. Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists to build a referral pipeline that fuels caseload growth, while educating residents and families on wellness benefits. Expand your reach by traveling between senior living communities and patient residences to establish the facility as the primary wellness resource. This part-time role offers approximately 12-15 hours per week within a clinician-operated practice dedicated to abolishing ageism and supporting independence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology
- Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
- Prior fitness training experience
- Willingness to obtain CPT certification
- Experience or strong interest in working with older adults in a proactive, wellness-focused setting
- Ability to travel between Senior Living Communities and patient residences as needed
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to respond to email, Teams, text, and phone
- Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling
- Ability to perform CPR
- Moderate to maximum assists with patient transfers and bed mobility
- Ability to reposition a bed-bound patient independently
- Ability to stoop, sit, bend, pull, climb, reach, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities
- Ability to walk extensively throughout the shift
- Ability to run, lift, and stretch
