Job Summary

Conduct group exercise classes and one-on-one personal training for older adults within a Senior Living Community. Grow the wellness program by building relationships with residents, families, and the therapy team to increase participation and client referrals. Collaborate with Physical and Occupational Therapists to support patient transitions and educate attendees on wellness benefits. Perform house call sessions at patient residences and travel between communities as your territory expands. This part-time role involves approximately five hours weekly, with a clear path to grow your caseload. You will work alongside FOX's skilled clinicians in a collaborative environment focused on healthy aging and fall prevention.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology
  • Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
  • Prior fitness training experience
  • Willingness to obtain CPT certification
  • Experience or strong interest in working with older adults in a proactive, wellness-focused setting
  • Ability to travel between Senior Living Communities and patient residences as needed
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to respond to email, Teams, text, and phone
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling
  • Ability to perform CPR
  • Moderate to maximum assists with patient transfers and bed mobility
  • Ability to reposition a bed-bound patient independently
  • Ability to stoop, sit, bend, pull, climb, reach, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities
  • Ability to walk extensively throughout the shift
  • Ability to run, lift, and stretch
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities
  • Ability to use hands to feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to drive
  • Ability to talk and hear
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA) preferred
  • Prior fitness training experience with willingness to obtain CPT certification
  • Experience or strong interest in working with older adults in a proactive, wellness-focused setting
  • Comfortable presenting and educating residents and families on wellness program benefits
