Job Summary
Drive membership sales by converting enquiries and tours into memberships, managing renewals, and proactively following up leads to increase revenue. Deliver personalised fitness programmes, cover gym classes, and provide technique correction while building strong member relationships. Handle reception duties including processing payments, completing shift procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Support commercial performance by identifying new income opportunities, bringing forward initiatives, and ensuring health, safety, and cleanliness standards are met. This hybrid role combines fitness instruction, sales leadership, and club operations to grow membership at The Armoury Gym in Hampstead.
Required Qualifications
- A Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, or be working towards one and able to achieve it by the end of probation
- Previous sales or commercially focused experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confidence discussing memberships and commercial opportunities with customers
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and get things done
- A willingness to learn, develop and bring fresh ideas
- All shifts will be opening or closing shifts and will include working on reception
- Handling reception and membership enquiries
- Processing memberships and payments
- Completing opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and systems
- Completing health, safety and maintenance checks
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Reporting faults, incidents and maintenance issues
Desired Qualifications
- A Level 3 Personal Training qualification
- fitness industry experience

- First Aid training
