Job Summary
Drive month-over-month sales targets by building relationships with members, selling training packages, and managing client retention to fuel revenue growth. Lead and supervise the Personal Training team through hiring, scheduling, payroll management, and performance feedback while ensuring all staff maintain required certifications like CPR and PT credentials. Collaborate with sales staff on member onboarding and handle membership inquiries, complaints, and safety protocols to deliver exceptional customer service. Oversee facility maintenance, cleanliness, and emergency response procedures while communicating clear goals to department leaders and staff.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of management experience
- 3-4 years of customer service experience
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with employees, management, and vendors
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions
- Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Must successfully pass background check
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
- Must have valid PT certification
- Previous sales experience required
- Ability to work in a gym setting; move about club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public
- Ability to access and operate the Company computer system including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, reading reports from a computer database or email system
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- fitness/personal training management is a plus
- Personal Training sales experience is highly preferred
