Job Summary
As Fitness Manager, lead and optimize the Personal Training program to maximize paid service participation and retention through new client acquisition and existing client retention, while ensuring high-quality training delivery, adherence to standards, and staff development. Responsibilities include selling directly to members (approximately half of daily activities), coaching Personal Trainers on selling and service delivery, managing schedules and KPI-driven resources, owning the client journey from onboarding through first 90 days, and maintaining program quality with data-backed progress reports. Requires strong leadership, sales, communication, and relationship-building skills; familiarity with Crunch programs (e.g., dotFit, ABC/Datatrak, Crunch U), program design, and equipment operation; ability to hire/train staff, manage performance, and communicate performance insights to leadership. Education and certifications include a high school diploma or GED with preferred bachelor’s degree and CPR certification, plus multiple certified trainer credentials (e.g., ACSM, ACE, NSCA, NASM, etc.). Experience: 1-2 years as a Personal Trainer preferred; management experience in retail/hospitality and consultative sales preferred. Physical requirements include working in a club environment, mobility around floors, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
