Job Summary
Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of qualified Personal Trainers while managing their schedules and floor hours. Coach staff on sales conversations, client service, and programming to drive revenue through consultations and member outreach. Ensure trainers deliver high-quality programs that support client goals and retention, and oversee accurate documentation of assessments and progress checks. Address performance issues and employee relations matters, and execute monthly marketing initiatives to create new business. Keep trainer certifications current and manage overtime according to company policy. Communicate business results and action plans to the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR/AED certification
- basic First Aid knowledge
- Current nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification
- four-year related degree such as Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Physical Education, Nutrition, or a similar field
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift heavy weights
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to reach
- Must be able to spot members
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Personal Training management experience
