Job Summary

The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the Fitness Center services, ensuring exceptional customer service, and communication within the Fitness Center. Key responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling staff, promoting membership enrollment and program registration, maintaining accurate records, and effectively resolving member inquiries. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to diverse community engagement, and complete necessary training certifications within 60 days of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of related experience
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Completion of YMCA program-specific and trainer certifications must be accomplished within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

Desired Qualifications

  • One year of supervision preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other computer programs
