Job Summary
As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach, you will deliver scientifically predesigned workouts for up to 45 clients per session, coach proper form, motivate multiple clients in a group setting, and foster a positive, inclusive class atmosphere. You will demonstrate exercises, explain techniques, accommodate various fitness levels, manage class dynamics, and prioritize safety and injury prevention while maintaining cleanliness. You’ll engage consistently with members and help them achieve their goals, leveraging knowledge of heart-rate interval training and the science behind OTF workouts. Must hold a current OTF-approved fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NCSF, NASM, NCSA, or AFAA), have physiology and body mechanics knowledge, be able to multitask, communicate effectively, train all fitness levels, and be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must currently hold current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NCSF, NASM, NCSA, or AFAA
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
- CPR/AED certification
- 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field is preferred
