Job Summary
OTF Fitness Coach delivers scientifically predesigned workouts to groups (up to 45 clients per session), demonstrating exercises, correcting form, and motivating members while managing class flow and safety. Responsibilities include leading engaging workouts, explaining proper technique, fostering a positive, inclusive class atmosphere, understanding heart-rate interval training, ensuring safety and basic first aid readiness, and maintaining high member engagement. Requires current fitness certification from an approved provider, CPR/AED, 1+ years of group or personal training experience, ability to multitask, strong communication, and ability to train diverse fitness levels. Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related field is preferred; opportunities for advancement and cross-location coaching are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Must currently hold current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NCSF, NASM, NCSA, or AFAA
- CPR/AED certification
- 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs
