Fitness Center Director

Direct and supervise the Fitness Center and related wellness programs. Develop, plan, and implement a complete schedule of wellness activities; provide one-on-one or group instruction on all fitness equipment; prepare and distribute the monthly Fitness Center calendar; develop and enforce safety policies and procedures; coordinate testing and maintenance of equipment; manage fees and billing for services; verify physician clearance forms and maintain participant files; ensure cleanliness and safe work practices; maintain inventory of supplies; and sustain a safe work environment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related science or equivalent experience and certification from a nationally recognized health/fitness organization (ACSM, NSCA, ACE, or NASM); prior aquatic therapy experience, program development/planning experience, health/fitness operations experience, and health assessment skills; experience working with older adults preferred.
