Fit and Spec Technician

Job Summary
Ensure the consistency of the fit, specification, quality, and construction of each garment by measuring sample dimensions, verifying workmanship, and analyzing fit on models. Receive samples from overseas agents/vendors, communicate standards and quality requirements, and create grading charts with technical drawings. Keep track of all samples, paperwork, and comparison notes while collaborating with designers and suppliers to develop specifications. Requires 5+ years of experience, a fashion diploma, pattern-making skills, and bilingual French/English proficiency. Based at the Montreal Corporate Head Office, this role supports the global production and warehousing facilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience in a similar role
- Diploma in fashion/design
- Bilingual: French and English
- Strong understanding of womenswear garment design and production
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong Illustrator and Excel skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Pattern making experience; a must
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of denim, sweater knits, dresses and coats; an asset
