Job Summary
Fishing Team Lead at Bass Pro Shops leads department associates to execute merchandising directives, inventory control, pricing, and customer service, while supporting store-wide sales goals. Responsibilities include directing daily activities, preparing task lists, maintaining plan-o-grams, staff interviewing and training, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating performance; delivering product knowledge, conducting demos, coordinating special events, and promoting programs (e.g., CLUB Membership, VOC, In-Store Pick-up). Requires ability to analyze reports, operate POS/inventory systems, and communicate effectively with customers and staff to ensure a knowledgeable, service-oriented, and productive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years in Retail Sales Supervisory experience is a plus
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to read and analyze certain reports
- Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
- Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
