Job Summary
The Aquatic Livestock Salesperson assists customers with aquatic needs both in-store and over the phone, answers questions, and bags aquatic livestock. Responsibilities include unpacking, acclimating, and bagging livestock, completing mortality and usage sheets, performing routine aquarium maintenance (cleaning tanks and filter bags), reporting concerns to supervisors, and building knowledge of fish species to provide guidance. The role may require flexibility to assist in other departments, and involves supporting the care and maintenance of Aquatics Room systems to ensure a healthy environment for animals and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members
- Comfortable handling aquatic animals of various species
- Knowledge of fish species preferred; willingness to learn required
- Dependable work ethic with punctuality and accountability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
