Job Summary
Fiscal Supervisor- Vendor Payments oversees accounts payable staff, reviews POS and E-billing procedures and internal controls, maintains good relationships with vendors and client service units, processes EFTs and garnishments, coordinates retro payments to address rate changes, assists with CPA and compliance audits, and helps develop and document policies and procedures. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent lead experience in accounts payable), experience in a nonprofit/government setting, supervisory ability, proficiency with computerized accounting systems, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work with culturally diverse populations. The role involves collaboration with fiscal staff and other units to ensure timely and accurate accounting work and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or five years experience as a lead person in accounts payable function
- Experience in a non-profit or governmental agency preferred
- Two years supervisory experience preferred, or 5 years RCEB experience or other regional center experience in a senior accounting position
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multi tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience writing policies and procedures and/or other documentation
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and an ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations
