Job Summary
Fiscal Specialist responsible for administering and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable/cash receipt operations, providing day-to-day financial support to all areas of the agency, and collaborating with Finance team members to ensure a smooth fiscal office aligned with agency requirements. Requires an associate’s degree (preferred) with accounting experience if not obtained, experience with accounting software, proficiency in Word and Excel, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and capability to maintain accurate records while successfully passing required background checks. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred; in lieu of degree, three to four years accounting experience may be substituted
- Experience with accounting software
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to keep accurate, neat and organized records
- Ability to pass statewide background checks (Bureau of Investigation, DHHS, DMV, Fraud, Fingerprinting, National Sex Offender Registry)
