Job Summary
Fiscal Clerk responsible for supporting the agency's fiscal operations within the Fiscal Department. Responsibilities include reviewing stipend envelopes for discrepancies, processing deposits and monthly reports, informing management of fiscal issues, performing monthly site audits of cash receipts and purchases, conducting annual inventory of equipment, handling petty cash, deposit processing, training new staff on fiscal policies and union contracts, providing customer service on fiscal issues to Community House Managers, coordinating offsite storage/labeling, sourcing business supplies, and acting as back-up for billing and AP tasks. Requires an Associate degree or equivalent accounting/bookkeeping experience and at least one year in fiscal/data-entry work; emphasizes attention to detail, clear written communication, and professional interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in bookkeeping/accounting
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in fiscal, accounting, and data entry
- Reading and comprehending and subsequently carrying out complex instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write involved and thorough correspondence/memos
- Professional and respectful interactions and maintenance of working relationships with clients, families, direct care staff, and other employees in a one-on-one or small group environment
