Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes, CNC milling machines, and other equipment to machine small diameter, close tolerance parts following standard operating procedures. Coordinate department communications, maintain scheduling and shop floorboards, and provide direction when the Swiss Lead is absent. Assist with prove-outs, process improvements, and training for apprentices and operators while interfacing with engineering, quality, and materials teams. Work M-F 7:00AM-3:15PM as part of a precision manufacturing team supporting top medical device clients.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years' experience in a small device manufacturing environment as a Swiss CNC Operator-III or Lead
- Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, specifications and quality plans
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Capable of meeting deadlines
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to use measurement and inspection tools
- Good work habits
- Strong workmanship
- Positive attitude
- Ability, desire and flexibility to perform a variety of machining operations and other functions within manufacturing as needed
- Frequent performing repetitive work
- Occasional lifting (max. 40 lbs.)
- Occasional carrying (max. 40 lbs.)
- Constant safety glasses
- Constant full PPE in clean room
- Frequent standing

Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating Citizen, Star, Tsugami CNC Swiss lathes
- Experience with other CNC Turning Centers or CNC equipment
- Experience in medical device manufacturing
- Experience in aerospace
- Experience in machinery
- Experience in metals
- Graduate of a vocational school in manufacturing/machining or engineering discipline
