First Shift Sorter

Sort and segregate recoverable materials, including aluminum, plastic, glass, and paper, from incoming waste and deposit them safely into appropriate chutes. Inspect loads for unacceptable items, remove them as required, and assist with heavy or bulky items as needed. Communicate with equipment operators regarding special waste or loads requiring special attention while following all safety policies, including stopping the conveyor belt in emergencies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This First Shift Sorter role is part of Republic Services' recycling and waste operations, supporting our mission to advance circularity and decarbonization across North America.
