Job Summary
Monitor workflow and adjust to changes by directing and guiding others in the assigned department while keeping the supervisor up-to-date on progress and challenges. Complete daily workloads involving picking, packing, loading, and returns, utilizing warehouse management software and equipment safely. Maintain neat and accurate records, operate lift trucks if certified, and assist in training new or current employees. Work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to interruptions and change while ensuring personal and company safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- 5 years of directly related experience or equivalent work experience
- Thorough working knowledge of all processes and policies relating to all duties performed in their assigned department(s)
- Working knowledge of currently utilized warehouse management software and equipment used in their department(s)
- Ability to maintain neat and accurate records
- Skilled in basic arithmetic
- Ability to read and interpret orders, product description, and/or numbers in the English language
- Must be able to become certified through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program in order to efficiently and safely operate a forklift within the time frame specified by management
- Must be able to perform the basic lifting and system tasks for all warehouse functions and departments including receiving, put away, picking, packing, cycle counting, order checking and shipping
- The ability to repetitively lift cartons weighing 10 to 55 pounds
- Ability to stand/walk for 6 to 12 hours a day
- Ability to climb up and down stairs and ladders
