First Shift Material Handler I-2

First Shift Material Handler I-2 processes customer and replenishment orders in a manner to ensure safety, quality and performance goals are met. Responsibilities include pulling raw material request orders for delivery to production work centers and scanning with RF devices; supplying required consumables to production areas; disposing of certain waste from the production floor; returning material to the raw warehouse and consolidating into bays; following safety procedures, performing safety startup checks for powered industrial vehicles, wearing PPE, participating in 6S, and maintaining housekeeping; reporting scrap, damaged product, or quality problems; establishing effective teamwork and willingness to take on additional duties. Skills and experience include forklift operation, safe handling of freight, knowledge of hazardous shipping rules, reading and comprehension of documentation, and collaboration with coworkers. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
