Job Summary
Operate manual and powered industrial equipment to receive, pick, pack, stock, and ship products across the distribution center. Unload, stack, and store items from vendors while transferring goods between locations and staging areas. Weigh and load materials onto trucks for outbound shipping. Maintain a safe work environment by reporting hazards, practicing good housekeeping, and adhering to safety protocols for equipment use. Perform cycle counting and other duties as assigned by leadership. Requires ability to lift 10 to 55 pounds and work 6 to 10 hours daily in temperatures ranging from 25 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Must obtain certification through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to become certified through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program in order to efficiently and safely operate a forklift within the time frame specified by Leadership
- Must be able to lift 10 to 55 pounds
- Must be able to stand/walk for 6 to 10 hours a day
- Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred in a distribution/warehouse environment
- Experience preferred in the operation of heavy equipment
