Job Summary
Provide First Responder emergency response services throughout the campus, assessing situations and performing assistance within your active license scope. Maintain a visible security profile during shifts, remaining accessible by cell phone to be the first contact with law enforcement and fire personnel. Complete detailed reports for shift rounds, events, and incident responses while adhering to infection control and HIPAA privacy guidelines. Monitor the environment for safety hazards, lighting issues, or equipment problems, and report deficiencies immediately. Assist residents with compassion and empathy, ensuring their comfort, privacy, and dignity. This role requires a valid South Carolina driver's license, CPR certification, and the ability to lift over 75 pounds. You will work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR
- First Aid certification or ability to acquire within a three (3) month period
- A minimum of one or more year(s) in emergency response or security roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations
- Proficiency in report writing
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Capacity to perform physical activities, including lifting and moving objects in excess of 75 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and respond quickly in emergencies
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license
