Job Summary
Advise insurance company clients on business transactions, claims liability, and legal rights while researching cases, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing evidence to develop defense strategies. Prepare legal documents, analyze probable outcomes using legal precedents, and attend pretrial hearings to present arguments to judges and juries. Negotiate settlements and counsel clients on the advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits. Develop company policy on legal issues, research risks, and perform administrative and managerial functions related to the practice of law.
Required Qualifications
- at least 3+ years of litigation experience
- at least 1 year of experience handling First Party Property Insurance Defense litigation matters
- a Florida bar license in good standing
- excellent writing skills
- excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
