Job Summary
Hybrid First Party Injury Adjuster for PIP/Med Pay at USAA. Responsible for adjusting non-attorney involved soft tissue auto PIP/MP claims, including confirming coverage, determining liability, investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and adjudicating claims in compliance with state laws. Delivers concierge-level member service through proactive communication and clear guidance. Role requires in-office presence 3 days per week at one of the listed US locations (San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Chesapeake, VA; Tampa, FL). Training for July/August starts; mandatory 7-week training; CAT deployment travel possible. Must be available for a schedule Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Requires HS diploma, 1 year of adjusting experience, ability to obtain an adjuster license within 90 days. Relocation not offered. USAA does not sponsor visas for this role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 1 year of injury adjusting or auto liability adjusting experience
- Knowledge of auto claims contract, investigation, evaluation, negotiation and adjudication of claims
- License within 90 days (acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license)
