Job Summary
Obtain production orders, verify stock specifications, and execute machine set-up, operation, cleanup, and continuous improvement tasks on the production floor. Complete production reports and documentation accurately, proactively identify equipment issues to submit maintenance requests, and assist second and third operators with assigned duties. Perform repetitive hand movements, standing, lifting, and packing materials while strictly following health and safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and government regulations. Work the midnight shift (10 pm-6 am) with a starting hourly wage of $22.04 plus a $1.00 shift premium, eligible for group insurance, retirement plans, and profit sharing.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1–2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- The ability to lift 35 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
- The ability to read both metric and imperial tape measurements accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the corrugated industry (considered an asset)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- The ability to read and understand work instructions, production documentation, and use basic computer systems
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational efficiency, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
