First Nation Community Officer - Southern Region

First Nation Community Officer for the Southern Region; place-based role in Hervey Bay, Queensland. Collaborates with community members, local organisations, and government bodies to promote social care initiatives and culturally appropriate services. Acts as liaison, advocate, and resource for the community, fostering positive relationships and facilitating access to essential services. Responsibilities include engaging with First Nation community members to identify needs, developing and implementing programs that promote health, education, and social wellbeing, collaborating with local organisations to enhance service delivery, providing advocacy and support for individuals and families, organizing community events and workshops, maintaining records and reports on engagement and outcomes, and facilitating training and capacity-building initiatives for community members.
