Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance and production operations at the Sierra Army Depot to ensure mission readiness and strict DoD compliance. Enforce safety policies and OSHA guidelines while managing workforce attendance, scheduling, and performance metrics. Assign daily tasks, conduct training, and coach team members to support continuous improvement. Maintain security clearance for access to the Depot Production Computer System and ensure all employees log in weekly using their Common Access Card. Act as the Site Supervisor during off-shifts, attend daily start-of-work meetings, and resolve escalated operational issues. Notify the Government of corrective actions for conduct or duty violations. Work overtime as needed to meet mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least four to six (4-6) years of experience in Army in depot level maintenance and production support
- Minimum of four (4) years' documented management experience managing twenty or more (20+) personnel both directly and indirectly with or in support of the US military
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the maintenance/production and logistics field
- Competent in OSHA general industry health and safety practices and requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree preferred in business, acquisition, supply chain, or relevant equivalency
- Logistics Management experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis, where four (4) additional years of Logistics Management experience may be substituted for a formal college degree
- Individual shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
- US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location
- First Line Supervisor is required to be on-site
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, protective-toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection as required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
