Job Summary

Lead a multi-skilled engineering team to create and maintain design integrity for the Attack helicopter portfolio, specifically managing rotor blades and rotor hub systems. Ensure safe products and people by establishing policies that oversee design decisions and prioritize expedient resolution of production and field issues. Drive innovation by developing business cases for new work and fostering creative design solutions while managing workload within budget and schedule targets. Strengthen the team through mentorship, technical sponsorship, and knowledge transfer programs across multiple engineering disciplines. Provide accurate, timely communication to customers, stakeholders, and direct reports, managing suppliers and executing project plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in a relevant field of Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace)
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a Rotorcraft Engineering discipline
  • Internal candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
  • External candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Mesa, AZ site
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
  • To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process
  • Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration
  • This position is for 1st shift

Desired Qualifications

  • Highly preferred: current, active U.S. Secret security clearance
  • 2+ years leading technical teams
  • Familiarity with configuration management, producibility, and manufacturing engineering practices
  • Proven experience in structural design of rotor blades and rotor hub systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and production planning
  • Experience using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and tools
  • Proficiency with advanced data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau)
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence)
