Job Summary
Provide appropriate instruction to elementary students and ensure that the students meet the learning objectives and standards for the appropriate content and grade level. Responsibilities include planning and implementing WV College and Career Readiness Standards, implementing adopted and supplemental academic programs, integrating technology skills, collaborating through team teaching, and being accountable for individual student achievement. May supervise/co-curricular activities and other duties assigned by the Principal; strong communication with students, parents/guardians, and peers; equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels, pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2
- Criminal background check and drug screening conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate.
- Meet the qualifications outline in WV Code §18A-3-2a.
