Job Summary
First Grade Teacher responsible for assisting students toward intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth; implement PBIS program at building level; maintain confidentiality; adhere to federal/state laws and district policies; plan and deliver instruction, assess student performance, and communicate with colleagues, students, and parents; collaborate on instructional goals, select appropriate materials, diagnose learning disabilities when needed, and maintain accurate records; contribute to a respectful, safe, student-centered learning environment and participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State of Arizona to include appropriate vocational certification and endorsements
- Knowledge, skill and/or experience in the implementation of PBIS strategies or willingness to receive training in those strategies
