Job Summary
Provide peer support within an interdisciplinary treatment team to promote recovery from psychiatric, trauma, and/or substance use challenges using lived experience. Educate clients on potential referral sources, respond to crises, and lead daily life skills groups or individual discussions following Recovery and Trauma Informed Care. Document meetings clearly and accurately, maintain HIPAA compliance, and uphold professional boundaries. Collaborate with professionals, clients, families, and community stakeholders; ensure appropriate releases; meet minimum daily billable hours; and participate in an extensive internal training program. Must have or obtain Peer Support Certification within 6 months of hire; minimum high school diploma required; minimum 1 year related experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a certified Peer Support Specialist or obtain Peer Support Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of high school diploma required.
- Must meet all the requirements of background and experience per the state definition required for Peer Support certification.
