Job Summary
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of propeller assemblies and components using precision measurement tools to verify compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications. Prepare detailed inspection reports in accordance with AS9102 FAI documentation, ensuring proper traceability of materials and components. Identify, document, and address non-conformances while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Log daily hours and activities for weekly submission. This six-month contract is based in Brockworth, Gloucester, with flexible hours including overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in FAIR review / sign-off
- Working knowledge of AS9102 Specification
- Inspection techniques
- Reading drawings
- writing Root Cause and Corrective Action Request
- Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001 and AS9102 Standards
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools
- Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Strong ability to identify defects and non-conformances
- Meticulous documentation and record-keeping skills
- Ability to analyse and resolve quality issues effectively
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances, including ITAR
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as needed
- Role is inside IR35
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent
- Training in AS9102 FAI documentation
