Job Summary

Conduct manual and CMM inspections of parts and assemblies against drawing and process requirements across site projects. Spot-check operator compliance with methods, raise non-conformance forms, and manage rework approvals. Generate, collate, and maintain FAIR data using Visual Fair while creating inspection methods for underdefined tasks. Operate CMM machines, solve errors and collisions, and perform audits including Flash and supplier reviews. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes, lead improvement projects, and provide coaching to new inspectors. Manage workload by liaising with cell leaders to complete inspections timely.

Required Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship level or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Quality inspection within a manufacturing/engineering industry
  • FAIR generation and collation
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T/engineering drawings
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
  • Performance driven and self-motivated
  • Strong planning and prioritising activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to present data effectively
  • Analytical skills
  • Team player

Desired Qualifications

  • Internal Auditor AS/EN9100 trained
  • CMM operation/programming
  • Experience of using root cause analysis tools (8Ds, 5 Whys etc)
