Job Summary
Conduct detailed inspections of first article parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Utilize precision measuring tools including CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators to verify dimensions. Document inspection results accurately, identify non-conformances, and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing process specifications. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve discrepancies and initiate root cause analysis for defects. Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and provide training to production personnel on quality standards. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T)
- Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
- Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances accurately

- Technical certification
