Job Summary
First Aid Compounder on the 3rd shift responsible for safe sampling, transload, and unloading operations of bulk raw materials at the facility, including coordination of transfers from railcars to tanker trucks or compounding tanks, initiating hookups of railcars and tanker trucks to the transloading manifold, manipulating valves and controls to deliver material, and generating BOL paperwork in Oracle. The role also covers peroxide and IPA compounding, routine inspection of railcars for leaks or damages, maintaining SOPs and training records, and ensuring compliance with safety plans. Preferred qualifications include an A.S. degree in science or mechanics and at least 5 years of experience with mechanicals, instrumentation, and controls; FRA hazmat certification within 90 days; ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a night shift while following strict safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- A.S. Degree in science or mechanics preferred
- At least 5 years of experience with mechanicals, instrumentation, and controls
- Familiarity with railcar and tanker truck operations
- Hazmat Ground shipper/FRA Certification within 90 days of hire or already certified
- Strong knowledge of state and federal policies and procedures
- Ability to manipulate valves, hoses, and a pumping station to transfer raw materials
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Able to work 10 pm - 6:30 am schedule
- Responsibility for safe sampling, transload, and unloading operations of raw materials
- Coordinate testing with laboratory
- Print out BOL and finalize paperwork in Oracle
- Experience with IPA and peroxide compounding
- Follow batch records and SOPs for laboratory testing and filling operations
- Exposed to chemicals or dust; wear PPE
- Safety-conscious with adherence to SOPs and safety plans
